Berea has been more than a camp for Alaina Wood, it has been her home. Raised with her 6 siblings by Ron and Laura Ward, she understood at a young age that Berea is a powerful tool in bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and in ministering to fellow believers which led her to a passion for Christian Camping.
After spending 12 years on staff at Berea, Alaina obtained an Associate's in Biblical Studies from New Tribes Bible Institute, a Bachelor's in Political Science from Plymouth State University, and lived for a year in Japan as a missionary before returning to Berea's Ministry in 2007. Currently she works in the area of ministry development and in her spare time, enjoys outdoor adventures, camping, traveling, and motorcycles with her best-friend and husband Greg Wood.
